About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at Wesleyan University. This means I split my time ~50/50 between teaching and research and work closely with students in multiple capacities. In addition to these duties, I am passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM and currently lead a biweekly journal club on these topics.

Prior to my time at Wesleyan, I was a student at Harvard University, where I received my bachelor’s degree in astronomy and astrophysics with a secondary concentration in Earth and Planetary Science in 2015, and Penn State University, where I completed my Ph.D. in astronomy and astrophysics in 2022. My dissertation research was focused on understanding the pathways through which giant planets migrate to become hot Jupiters.

In my free time, I enjoy playing a variety of sports (including volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and quadball), reading science fiction and fantasy books, and making foam cosplay props. I am always happy to talk about science, sports, pop culture, or current events!
